In order to make edits to OxyDB you must be logged in to the website. Principal Investigators are invited to register by email for a user name and password. Please send the information requested below to email@example.com. We will send login credentials to the email address you provide once we have deposited this information in our database.
For administration purposes, each edit will be tagged in our database with the user name credited with the update. These names are not displayed on the gene pages at this time, but they can be accessed by the OxyDB staff if needed or requested.
Because it is important for us to be able to trace annotations made to OxyDB, we are not planning to issue login credentials directly to postdocs and students. Contact information for these members of our community changes often, as they move on to new labs or other research interests. Keeping the number of passwords low also improves security at our site. (None of us wants to enter in all of this information again!) Considering this, we encourage PIs to share their login credentials with the members of their lab.PI Information
